"Continuous Authentication on Mobile Devices based on Artificial Intelligence" PhD thesis by Juan Manuel Espín López

The Cybersecurity & Data Science Lab at the University of Murcia is pleased to announce the successful completion of Juan Manuel Espín López’s PhD thesis entitled “Continuous Authentication on Mobile Devices utilizing Artificial Intelligence.” This achievement stands as a significant milestone in the progression of cybersecurity and machine learning technologies, highlighting the lab’s dedication to pioneering research and innovation.

Guided by the expertise of thesis directors Alberto Huertas, Francisco Esquembre, and Javier Marín-Blázquez, Juan Manuel’s research has paved the way for the development of machine learning-driven frameworks for continuous authentication on mobile devices, representing a crucial advancement in cybersecurity. The research lab extends its sincere gratitude to the thesis directors for their steadfast support and mentorship throughout the project’s duration.

The defense committee, comprised of esteemed academics including Mercedes Valdés Vela from the University of Murcia (Spain), Cristina Alcaraz from the University of Malaga, and José María de Fuentes from the University Carlos III Madrid (Spain), contributed valuable insights and discussions that enriched the depth and scope of the research. Their involvement underscored the collaborative spirit and intellectual rigor that define the academic community’s approach to addressing complex challenges.
