Internal Research Forum on Disinformation Research

Last 1st of March, members of the CyberDataLab exposed to the rest of the lab the efforts performed to research misinformation and disinformation from computational and cybersecurity perspectives. More than twenty CDL members assisted with the event, improving fruitful discussions, team building, and awareness on internal research lines.

Firstly, Javier Pastor (Postdoc Senior) exposed the CDL approach to understanding and studying the disinformation phenomena throught the main goals and first steps.

 

Secondly, Alejandro Buitrago (PhD student) reviewed the main frameworks, models, and simulations studying disinformation in the literature.

 

Finally, Gonzalo Cánovas introduced some disinformation frameworks, Felipe Sánchez analyzed a real-world disingormation incident with DISARM framework, Antonio Guillén proposed a model of cyberpersona to generate realistic users, and Mario Fernández presented the main opportunities and challenges to build specific training and awareness on disinformation.
